Even hardcore Downtown Lunch’ers need to lay off the street meat every once in a while and go over the $10 mark. So we’re breaking the rules to give away a dinner for 2 worth $120 at The Harrison on Greenwich & Harrison in Tribeca, courtesy of deal site BlackboardEats.com. I know there are a lot of freeloaders out there, so if you’re not already, sign up for BlackboardEats and then you have through Friday to let me know in the comments why you should get to eat dinner for free. On a side note, there’s an upcoming deal on the site for 30% off at The Bailey Pub & Brasserie in the FiDi, which is normally out of ML price range.

Free Fancy Chocolates This Afternoon: If you need a mid-afternoon snack, lunch'er Carl passes along that the location of La Maison du Chocolat on Wall St. (btw. Pearl & Hanover) is doing a free tasting of two new bonbons from noon to 5 p.m. There's no description of what kind of bonbons, but it doesn't really matter because they're free.

Free Pizza In Soho Today: You might want to be a really late lunch'er if you work in Soho: Italian restaurant Tresanti on Watts (nr. Thompson) is giving away a free 12 inch pizza from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today. Since nearly everything on their menu is out of ML price range, this is an extremely good deal.

Free Frites N Meats: Right now on Tenka you can get a free angus burger from the Frites N Meats truck. Some of you think the food there isn't that great, but free always tastes better!

Free Pie At Bubby’s Today: If you work in or near Tribeca you might want to head over to Bubby's Pie Company on Hudson St. (at N. Moore) today for some free pie in celebration of their two decade anniversary. The giveaway started at 11 a.m. with 600 slices on hand, and will go until they're all gone.
