Win A Fancy Pants Dinner In Tribeca

width=Even hardcore Downtown Lunch’ers need to lay off the street meat every once in a while and go over the $10 mark. So we’re breaking the rules to give away a dinner for 2 worth $120 at The Harrison on Greenwich & Harrison in Tribeca, courtesy of deal site BlackboardEats.com. I know there are a lot of freeloaders out there, so if you’re not already, sign up for BlackboardEats and then you have through Friday to let me know in the comments why you should get to eat dinner for free. On a side note, there’s an upcoming deal on the site for 30% off  at The Bailey Pub & Brasserie in the FiDi, which is normally out of ML price range.

i deserve to win because i (as of now) was the first to comment, am the most hardcore dedicated follower of MidtownLunch, and i work in ML territory but live in downtown lunch territory- so I am ALWAYS on the prowl, reading reviews and telling all of my friends of the good finds. Looks like this is an even better find, if not the best! WE LOVE Midtown LUNCH!

  • I’ve been an avid MidtownLuncher since 2007, beginning with the original Midtown section over the summer of 2007. When MidtownLunch Philadelphia opened, I became a very active member (Profiled Luncher, Guest Blogger, Jamie’s Co-luncher on the South St. Special Trip) and then when I moved to NYC and began working in Tribeca have become very active on the MidtownLunch Downtown section. Also, I love to freeload.

  • I want free food! I deserve to win because I ate raw fish from a garbage bag in the middle of summer! (http://midtownlunch.com/2008/06/02/secret-street-food-of-midtown-ecuadorian-on-46th/)

Although I don’t work anymore in midtown I still religiously follow it. Since than I’ve enrolled in culinary school and can no longer afford to eat out. I’m always stalking restaurants websites looking for inspiration and indulging in food porn. Make my sexy food porn come true!

The Red Cat is hands-down our favorite restaurant in the city. We go every year for our wedding anniversary. The Harrison has been on our list to check out for a while. Pick us!

I deserve to win because I would never be able to afford to eat at the Harrison on my own dime (hence why I read this blog).

  • I deserve to win because my boyfriend is in med school so I always end up paying for dinner.

I dont deserve to win. but do you know how depressing it is to look out to 33rd and 6th and actually consider going to ricky’s cabaret for steak??!!

  • I’d like to win because my mom never lets me take her out to nice places because she doesn’t want me paying so much so she’s never been to a fancy & expensive place before… and her birthday is coming up next week so I’d like to finally take her someplace nice & not have her complain about the price.

I should win because my wife works downtown. It would be a nice change of pace from eating elsewhere.

i should eat for free b/c whenever I’m in new york i lose all my money. though i’m sure i’d still spend that 120 dollars, just at 2 more restaurants. making me more fat. hmm…

I should get to eat dinner for free at The Harrison because I spend many nights making dinner for two and this would be an nice break. I’ve walked by The Harrison and have been wanting to go there for some time. Plus, my girlfriend is a huge Harrison Ford fan and likes anyone or anything named Harrison. Please pick me.

I would love to win this because my husband and I spend 80% of our money on food. Expensive, cheap, street food…you name it, if it’s delicious, we want to try it. Eating out is an experience that we both relish in. Also, I live across the street from The Harrison and it would be nice support a local neighborhood business. Last but not least, we LOVE blackboard eats and have supported their initiative from day one. Thanks!

I would love to win this contest because I actually work Downtown, by the Holland Tunnel… where there is no good street food, or good cheap food of any kind. You Midtowners don’t know how lucky you are with your fancy carts and trucks selling delicious food at reasonable prices. We basically have Calexico (and its hour long wait) and that’s it. So it would be lovely to get off work one day and be able to walk down to The Harrison and get a free dinner. Also the Veal Blade Steak looks amazing.

I enjoy eating the many cultural creations at the various carts and trucks downtown, not only because its delicious but because its cheap! I would love to eat at the Harrison because every once in a while you have to splurge for some high quality eats and well I am unable to splurge.

  • Office moved to FiDi in January and I have been religiously following this Downtown blog ever since to hunt down cheap lunch options. Sponsoring me for a meal to the Harrison means I can tell Midtowners loud and clear how much DOWNTOWN RULES! Everyone needs to know we have all these awesome perks here.

  • I read ML every day to find new places to lunch..I’m relatively new to the city so I love all these ideas for new places to try! I’ve been dying to try The Harrison but can’t afford it…help!

  • because i need something to save me from the wasteland that is the world financial center.

Because I am in grad school and working but barely making enough and so my Boyfriend always pays for dinner. I would like to take him out and treat him right!

I deserve a free meal because with the supermoon and this freaky winter reprise we’re having, I’m afraid it’s a sign that New Yorkers are on the verge of a zombie apocalypse and I should have one last culinary hurrah. It’s either eat (at Harrison) or be eaten.
