Tomorrow Is “Love Your Lunch Day” At The Bistro Truck

In honor of some made up promotional thing called “Love Your Lunch Day” you can get some free stuff at the Bistro Truck tomorrow when they’ll be at Old Slip & Water. They’ve partnered with the Aladdin company which makes things like lunch boxes and thermoses, and you can get one of their reusable to-go food containers when you go get your lamb burger from the truck. You do have to buy food from the truck “during mid-day hours” to do the freeloading.

Bistro Truck Is Back, With Mid-Week Stops Downtown

I’m sure a lot of you were saddened when the Bistro Truck went on hiatus over some winter months. Now that they’re birthing a brick and mortar location on the Lower East Side, the truck has returned to the streets this week and said on Twitter that the truck will be in the Financial District at Old Slip & Water on Wednesdays (is there even parking spots left in that area?), and according to their Web site, in Soho on Tuesdays. They’ll be at Hudson & King today filming something for a U.K. Food Network show, so smile while you’re ordering that lamb burger.

Ever since the Bistro Truck relaunched its menu and simultaneously started venturing away from its usual spot in Union Square, I’ve been wanting to eat there but something always came up. They’ve been parking in SoHo and the Financial District one day a week each, and you guys had been raving about the food, with particular praise for the lamb burger.
