PROFILE: Philly Luncher “Alethia”
As is customary at Philly Lunch, every Tuesday we turn over the site to a different lunch’er for his or her recommendations for the best lunch in Philadelphia. This week it’s Alethia from Philly Homegrown, who likes to dine on local pork.
Name: Alethia
Age: 33
Occupation: Director of Philly Homegrown
Where in Philly do you Work?: Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation
Favorite Kind of Food: anything with pork – and preferably local, sustainably raised heritage breed pork (even more specific – from Wyebrook Farms near Downingtown, PA)
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Anything with broccoli in it
Favorite Place(s) to Eat Lunch in Philly: Pumpkin Market, Wedge and Fig and Fried Chicken Thursdays at Meme.
“Go-To” Lunch Place You and Your Coworkers Eat at Too Often? Giwa
Place you discovered thanks to Philly Lunch (if any) Minar Palace
If you could work anywhere (just because of the lunch) where would it be and why? It would have to be Athens, Greece – I’m 1/2 Greek and am obsessed with anything containing goats-milk feta, olives and lemon.
Is there anything you’d like to ask the Philly Lunch readers? I’d love to know where folks are finding locally sourced lunch options. We run a feature on the Philly Homegrown blog called Locavore Lunch and are always on the hunt for a great local bite!
I loves GTC’s RW menu, so much local goodness!
If you would like to be next week’s Profiled Philly Lunch’er (or know somebody you’d like to nominate), email me at jamie@midtownlunch.com.
