Salumeria wins. It’s basically just a quest for second-best after that. At least, as far as I know. I’d love to be surprised by another contender!

Speaking of which, I really need to try Paesano’s Italian. Again? I may have ordered it once, possibly while very drunk, but I don’t really remember. It’s the only sandwich on Paesano’s Girard menu I’m almost sure I haven’t tried yet. I need to get to that sometime over the next few weeks, I think.

  • Jay – you’re in luck. We just tried the Daddy Wad Italian hoagie at Paesano’s this weekend. Look for a post soon.

  • Haven’t tried that one yet!

Awesome, thanks! I’ve got a three day weekend, and I think I just might make a trip down to Cosmi’s (an old favorite of mine that I haven’t been to in a while) and Gooey Looie’s (never been there yet).

Jack’s Place in Tacony is another to consider. It’s a bit of a different style, but still a great hoagie. Their hours are kinda rough, though.
