Snacking at Prime Burger is the Opposite of the Quinoa I had for Dinner

Recently, Prime Burger opened right by Washington Square Park with a menu of burgers made of various meats (La Freda beef, crab, mushroom, turkey, fish). They all sound pretty good actually, especially with the various cheesy topping options. But my hungover state required something less meal-like, more fat kid snacking.

“Million dollar” milkshakes do not cost a$1,000,0000 but they come pretty close. Wel, most are $5, but I chose the most expensive one- the Chocolate Truffle Shake, made with Godiva “white dark chocolate” syrup, yes thats a thing, they showed me the bottle, apparently its like dark chocolate but slightly less bitter, plus raspberry syrup and whipped cream. It was highly delicious. For its pairing, I selected the buttermilk onion rings ($3.95). They were fried differently than I’m used to, with thinner onion slices and a an obviously handmade, less than neat batter preparation. They were crispy and the onion wasn’t lost, but could have used a touch more salt. This was not a mom-approved lunch, but it was so satisfying.

Even though my snacks took a little longer to be ready than my friend waiting in the car would have liked, the service was very friendly and they mostly seemed to know what they were doing for having just opened.

I will be back for burgers.
