Little Pete’s rocks. I’m not quite sure why I haven’t ever been to Midtown II, if only for the sake of looking around inside. A scrapple sandwich and a beer sounds good at anytime. I need to get to Oak Lane one of these years. Trout and grits, yes please.

    Aramingo Diner. Eh, no.

I need a DeLorean and a flux capacitor so I can check out what that abandoned diner on Richmond along the 73 bus route was like in its day…

Oh, meant to mention this somewhere. Seems like it fits here.

I noticed a generic-looking, Center-City style lunch cart parked on the pavement under the Girard El around 2 PM or so a couple days ago. I wonder if they’re a lunchtime regular there now? I’ve never seen a truck there before, or really anywhere around there aside from the Friday and Saturday night trucks a block over at the Frankford intersection.

Nothing special… hot dogs and a couple other things, though their special seems to be a ‘flank steak sandwich,’ if I recall. I’m assuming that’s not just a plain ole’ cheesesteak. I’ll have to give it a try, if it’s ever there again and if I find myself down there around lunchtime.

Also, speaking of under the Girard El. I miss Wonder Years! Looks like some kind of club is taking over its space already, but it doesn’t seem to be the kind of place to hang out with a Lager while watching the Sixers and waiting for the 5 bus home. Sad.
