The Sandwich Experiment Competition (Update: Ticket Give Away)

Last year, the Food Experiment brought the Cheese Competition to Philly and it was a total blast. For this year’s event, what could be more Philly than cheese, you ask? Sandwiches!

The Details:

WHAT: The Philadelphia Sandwich Experiment

WHEN: Sunday, May 6th, 2012

TIME: 2pm – 5pm

WHERE: Underground Arts at Wolf Building, 1200 Callowhill St., Philadelphia, PA 19108

JUDGES: Emilio Mignucci of Di Bruno bros

(The winner from each city’s Experiment will be flown in to Brooklyn courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery to compete with the best of the best for a chance to become The Food Experiments’ 2012 reigning champion.)

OR just come to eat

TICKETS: $12 – include a Brooklyn Brewery pint and a plethora of culinary delights.

(Half of the ticket proceeds will go towards charities promote sustainability and local culinary education for disadvantaged children and teens.)

Do I have to pick just one?? Impossible. DiNic’s brisket sandwich with cheese and rabe, Nick’s Roast Beef combo, Rocco’s hot sausage with peppers and onions, Green Eggs ham and turkey club. Sigh, I do love a good sandwich.

Can’t go wrong with anything at John’s, but the namesake roast pork – with spinach and sharp provolone, of course – has to be my favorite.
