Georges Perrier’s Croissants at Small Oven Bakery
Over a year ago I enjoyed the choux creme puffs at Small Oven Bakery, at the back of Tutti Frutti on Walnut Street. A few months ago they added savory baked goods to the menu, quiches and croissants from the Mainline’s Art of Bread by Georges Perrier.
For $3.65 I received a fairly large goat cheese and artichoke croissant, heavy on the goat cheese. As a warning, they usually run out of savory croissants in the afternoon.Other variations include a ham and cheese croissant and non savory ones like double chocolate or almond. It is a luxurious snack to treat yourself too, though one is not sufficient for a full lunch. A croissant and a quiche would probably do the trick, or go buck wild with a croissant and a choux creme puff.
