Termini Brothers Dessert

On Monday I had the  winning meatballs at Pastificio and I mentioned I also picked up dessert in that same shopping plaza. As a few of you guessed, it was from Termini Brothers. They have 4 locations in Philadelphia. This one was empty mid day, allowing me all the time I needed to pick my poison.

With the help of the packaging, I was able to being my desserts on the subway without getting them smushed.

Of course I selected a cannoli, what they are famous for.  I am not even a big cannoli person, since sometimes the filling tastes chemically and the shell gets stale. That is a non issue here, they don’t mess around with inferior cannoli parts. Their cannoli filling is creamy and on an adult level of sweetness.

Mini cakes are awesome. Even if you had a really big slice, equivalent to the size of the mini cake, the mini cake is still better because eating a whole cake is more hardcore. Though I prefer a more tart sour cream frosting, I enjoyed devouring my red velvet mini cake ($4).

Jamie, if you want even better cannoli, get thyself to Varallo Bros at 10th & Morris!

  • Love the mini cakes too – the carrot cake is my favorite. We did one of those Italian Market tours years ago before we moved into the city and it took us “behind the scenes” at Termini Bros. Definitely worthwhile – people we really nice, gave us lots of samples and we got to see them prepping for a wedding.
