PROFILE: Philly Luncher “Erica”
As is customary at Philly Lunch, every Tuesday we turn over the site to a different lunch’er for his or her recommendations for the best lunch in Philadelphia. This week it’s Erica, a student who is nostalgic for Chaucer’s and should not be scared to admit that Paesano’s is the absolute best!
Name: Erica
Occupation: Law Student
Where in Philly do you Work?: North Broad Street, Philadelphia
Favorite Kind of Food: My mother’s sauerbraten and red cabbage. More generically: pickles/pickled food. I assume “beer” is an inappropriate answer to this question.
Least Favorite Kind of Food: Food that is under-salted.
Favorite Place(s) to Eat Lunch in Philly:
Egg and cheese on english muffin – Golden Donut, 9th and Christian; Pepper and Egg Sandwich – Shank’s; Mahi Mahi Tacos – Jose Pistola’s (15th btwn Locust and Spruce). I also love Paesano’s but I bet everyone says that. [Ed. note- it’s ok, they are just the best!]
“Go-To” Lunch Place You and Your Coworkers Eat at Too Often? Jose Pistola’s
If you could work anywhere (just because of the lunch) where would it be and why? San Francisco: best dim sum ever.
Is there anything you’d like to ask the Philly Lunch readers? Does anyone else have inexplicable nostalgia for Chaucer’s?
If you would like to be next week’s Profiled Philly Lunch’er (or know somebody you’d like to nominate), email me at jamie@midtownlunch.com.
