PROFILE: Downtown Lunch’er “Julia”

As is customary here on Midtown Lunch, every Tuesday we’ll profile a different lunch’er and get their recommendations for places to eat in Downtown NYC. This week, we have Wall Streeter Julia who likes vegetarian buffet and pizza for lunch and is looking for a good source of a brunch staple.

Name: Julia

Occupation:
Claims technician

Where you work: Wall St.

Age: 29

Favorite Kinds of Food: anything! Pizza especially, I think.

Least Favorite Foods: Cheesecake

Favorite Lunches Downtown: Little Lads Basket in the lower level of 120 Broadway – They have tasty vegetarian food, home style buffet, and stuff like breads and popcorn you can purchase.  Also, there are an abundance of food/smoothie trucks and fruit vendors.  I love pizza from Underground Pizza on William (btw. Beaver & Pearl).

The “go-to” lunch place you and your co-workers eat at too often: Financier (Multiple Locations) – Macarons are addictive.  Also, Oriental Express on Cedar (btw. Pearl & William).

Dream job location, purely for lunch purposes, and why: Soho or Union Square. So many options!

Places downtown you discovered thanks to Midtown Lunch: I have started reading the blog only recently, but I’m making a list and taking notes for new places to eat.

Anything you’d like to ask the downtown Midtown Lunch readers?: Dim sum recommendations for anywhere, please!

I’m no dim sum expert so I’ll leave it to others for recommendations. Anyone have good suggestions for Julia? And as always, if you would like to be next week’s Profiled Lunch’er (or know somebody you’d like to nominate), email us at downtownnyc@midtownlunch.com.
