Street Vendor Protests at Health Dept.
According to Gothamist, a street vendor protest was scheduled to start at 10am this morning over a NYC law that bans street vendors from leaving their carts at all while in operation. A nut vendor in Lower Manhattan apparently lost his license for ducking into a bookstore to use the restroom. Protests should be taking place at the Department of Health Headquarters located at 253 Broadway. Can anyone confirm? UPDATE: The Village Voice has the scoop…
