Get Your Russian Blini From A Generic Deli

A walk past Oliva Gourmet on Broadway (btw. Vesey & Barclay) revealed a new sign for Russian blini, which didn’t surprise me because this place also started serving alcohol at a bar in the back last summer for all the tourists flocking to the tour bus stop outside. For $6.50, they may be worth a shot at stepping inside this place.

    What is it anyways? Best approximation I can make of it is some sort of pancake or crepe.

    I’m not quite sure except they’re usually involved with eating caviar. I’m guessing the generic deli version is not.

    Blini are Russian crepes. You’ll usually find them with caviar at a Russian restaurant but we like ’em with Nutella or condensed milk for breakfast.
