Finally caught the Leonard Bookman (plain white) slice on rotation at Pizza Brain again on the way home tonight. Still great.
I really want to try that new(-ish) white pie (fingerling potato, bacon, garlic, scallion, rosemary, black pepper, goat cheese, mozzarella and sharp white cheddar) of theirs, but I doubt I’ll ever catch it on the slice rotation. They deliver now, and I’m only about a half-mile away, so perhaps that’s an option. I’ve always disliked what even just a few minutes in a box does to good pizza, though. So I dunno.

Speaking of Thai, I’ve gotta find some moo yang and some khao man gai somewhere around here one of these days. Speaking of soup, I’m looking forward to possible ramen for the first time when I get back home on Sunday night!

One of those trucks (I forgot its name, but it’s the little red one and I think it’s relatively new) set up at Girard & Frankford on Friday and Saturday nights has a $7 bulgogi cheesesteak (provolone or cream cheese). I’m in on that next weekend if the weather’s decent and if they’re there.
Also noticed the truck in the lot across from Atlantis (Frankford & Hagert, in front of PBC’s brewery) was back tonight for the first time in a while. Or at least, the first time I’ve noticed them in a while. Chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, “grill fries” (wedges, I think?), a cheesesteak and I think one or two other things. The steak I had from them a few months back was… not good. But I’ll definitely give them another shot. I think I was possibly their first customer ever, and the steak I saw go out while I was looking over the menu looked much better. The chicken sandwich (ranch & bacon, if I recall) sounded good, I think I’ll probably go for that. Seems like a good match with a pint of Walt Wit!
