Starbucks Woos me with Happy Hour and Cute Desserts
While I am so not in the habit of promoting big franchises, especially over priced ones, Starbucks has given me 2 reasons to stop by this week. 1) Half Price Frappuccino’s (from 3-5pm until the 15th) and 2) tiny little cute desserts. They have intelligently catered to my cheapness and love for tiny, cute things. You win this round, Starbucks. Check out the little cuties after the jump.
Starbucks petites include cake pops, mini cupcakes, and mini bars. One for $1.50 is a little high, but 2 for $2.50 is for some reason is acceptable to me.
My 1/2 off medium caramel frapp, rocky road cake pop, and salted caramel bar only cost me $5, pretty decent.
The cake pop was only ok but I loved its clever box that kept it from getting smushed. The salted caramel bar was actually really lovely, a layer of cookie, a layer of fudge with pretzels in it (which could have stood to be crunchier), and a drizzle of sweet and salty caramel on top. Sugar rush!

I am definitely taking advantage of frappy hour this week, and their mini red velvet whoopie pies are the best! The cake is super-soft and the cream cheese frosting is rich and just the right amt too!! <3 As much as I prefer the mom-n-pop shop to franchises, the new line of desserts at Starbucks are irresistable, hehe.
