Win Free Lunch From Mendocino Farms
Last week the good folks at Mendocino Farms (one of my favorite sandwich spots in L.A.) emailed me to let me know that they had added the PB3, a peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich, to their permanent menu and offered me a gift certificate to come try one on the house. I told them I didn’t really like taking free food from the places we post about, but I’d gladly take it and give it away to you guys! Want free lunch at Mendocino Farms? Speaking of Mendocino Farms, there is a bright side to all this rain. When it’s crappy out you get a discount on their ham and gruyere grilled cheese sandwich from 10:30am until 2pm.

I don’t have a blog so I wouldn’t be at risk for any conflict of interest if I got a free sandwich. This would also be good for me because it would make me try something new!

Obviously, because I’ve been working a few blocks from Mendocino for, oh, two months now, and have yet to go. The fact that the other twenty-somethings at the office lack the motivation to walk four extra blocks for lunch and that apparently I’m the only one willing to shill out $10 for a sandwich has prevented any lunchtime sojourning.

I would love to get the gc. I’ve been a vegetarian forever, and recently transitioned to full on vegan. And yep–I can’t cook at all. I mean at all. Which is tough on a budget. I’ve heard great things about Mendocino Farms and would really love to try them out!

I have to spend the first weekend in January at a 4-day professional convention in LA…. and it will be full of stressed out job applicants and just hordes of academics. I’ll need a break! Also, I think that with the rain I’ve been enduring in SoCal this week, I definitely deserve a rainy day special.

Because currently I’m unemployed and will NEED all the free food I can possibly get. Also I’ll only be in LA for 3 weeks, after that who knows when I’ll be back.

Because I’ve been down there several times, and haven’t been to Mendocino Farms yet. Couldn’t find it, then it wasn’t open (day after Thanksgiving). I have a daughter that is in love with the blue cow. We will get down there while they’re open one of these days!
okay you might not take a free lunch but this poor actress/food blogger will! esp. from mendocino farms – probably one of my new favorite places!!
