You Can Score A Free Shake Shack Burger In Soho

In case you missed this bit of news last week, and happen to work in Soho, there’s a Delta pop up called T4X on W. Broadway (btw. Broome & Spring) and you can score a free burger from Shake Shack by stopping by. The burger purveyor is opening a shop at Terminal 4 of JFK, but the certificates you can get from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. are good at any of the Shack’s locations. The freebies are available through Wednesday, or while supplies last.

Shacktoberfest Starts Today At Shake Shack BPC

Good news if you need a break from the regular burgers and fries at Shake Shack as today through Oct. 21 is Shacktoberfest. This means you’ll be able to get currywurst, two kinds of bratwurst, a burger topped with a griddled cheddar brat, and two special concretes including one involving chocolate truffle cookie dough. As if this weren’t enough, you can top all that off with a giant beer in a special stein. Sounds like the perfect fuel for a post-lunch nap! Photo courtesy of Schaller & Weber.

Shake Shack Makes Its Debut Downtown, And Everybody Wants A Taste

I knew before heading out to the new Shake Shack on Murray St. (btw. West & N. End Ave.) in Battery Park City that I would be in for a wait. As I walked up I could see the mass of people waiting from a block away and steeled myself. Although I did have to wait in line for 30 minutes, and then wait a bit longer for food, I’d have to say they were ready for the crowds. And I rewarded myself for my wait by ordering one of the downtown-themed concretes. Read more »

At Lunch Now: Shake Shack Is Swamped

This was the line at the new Shake Shack in Battery Park City at about 1:30. Yes, I waited about 45 minutes before I got any food but they had a good system going and best of all, had someone handing out custard samples to those in line. I’m guessing the lines will die down eventually but for now you’re going to have to block out some time to eat here,…or send an intern. Stay tuned for a full review tomorrow!

Is Shake Shack (Finally) Opening This Week?!

It seems like forever since the news broke that Battery Park City was getting a Shake Shack, and it kind of was…last July to be exact. I went to check in on the progress of the space on Murray (btw. West & N. End Ave.) and was greeted by an outside and inside that looked ready to go, as well as workers inside and promising signs taped to the windows. Read more »

In A Month, Shake Shack Burgers Will Be Ours

Exciting news came out yesterday that the Battery Park City Shake Shack location announced in July of last year is opening in May. It’s on North End Ave. and will be joined by another outpost of Harry’s Italian and a couple of other higher-end (meaning probably not ML friendly) Danny Meyer restaurants in the Goldman Sachs building. Top this off with the Ed’s Lobster Bar kiosk reopening this week and its spin off pizza place, and BPC is looking pretty exciting for lunch these days. Your move FiDi! Photo courtesy of burgerclub.

Shake Shack, Blue Smoke Approved For BPC!

width=Those of you working in the lunch wasteland that is Battery Park City can get a little excited with the news that you’re getting the first downtown Shake Shack. The local Community Board 1 gave its approval according to Eater and it looks like Shake Shack is slated to open in early-to-mid 2011 and BBQ place Blue Smoke later in 2011. There’s also some fancy restaurant coming in, but let’s keep our eyes on the prize of those burgers. Photo courtesy of Eater.
