Baba Ghanouge, Au Bon Pain Coming To Fulton St.

The Financial District is a strange place these days. Swaths of the neighborhood are still more full of generators and disaster recovery teams that functional buildings due to flood damage, but the areas on higher ground are business as usual. Fulton St. is one of those areas, with several new places set to open. Find out what and where two of these new spots are after the jump!

If you haven’t already, pour one out for Popeye’s because the shuttered location between Broadway & Nassau is going to be a second Baba Ghanouge which has been serving up delicious food over at the original spot on Church St. & Chambers. I know we already have a bunch of falafel shops in the area, but Baba Ghanouge is so much more. I often think of this spicy chicken man-ushi which is the only thing resembling a wrap that I can strongly recommend. And they’ll put fries in your sandwich.

In less interesting news, there’s also an Au Bon Pain going in next to Crisp near William St. I’m not sure if this means the location at Broadway & Park Row is closing, or if Au Bon Pain is trying to be the next Starbucks in terms of saturation.

You may also remember that a branch of $1 pizza, cheap rotisserie chicken and shakes chainlet Roll And Go is coming to Fulton St. but the windows are still papered up so the opening date is unclear.
