Bob & Jo Truck Updates Menu Again

Springtime meant another menu update for the Bob & Jo truck starting a few weeks ago. Winter’s ramen and dumplings are out, and sandwiches are back. They’ve been touting their new tofu offerings nonstop on twitter, but when I went to check out the tofu sandwich ($8) the other day, I wasn’t that impressed. Has anyone tried anything worthwhile from the new menu? Let us know in the comments.

Bob & Jo Truck Updates Menu, Adds Ramen

While I was out of the country, it seems Korean fusion truck Bob & Jo updated their menu for winter, carrying over rice platters and bibimbap from the former menu, but replacing the baguette options with ramen! I really enjoyed their spicy chicken baguette back in the day, but if I could, I would eat soupy noodles every lunch of the winter! Score.

Bob & Jo’s Spicy Chicken Revisited

The Bob & Jo truck has been in Midtown a lot lately. Earlier this week, I found myself happily ordering at their window after unsuccessfully trying to solve the Vietnamese food mystery at Taz. Having enjoyed the chicken rice platter in the past, I went with the chicken baguette sandwich. The chicken was even better than last time, because this time, it WAS hot and spicy, as promised on the menu. The heat was tempered by the condiments in the sandwich. Served in a crispy baguette and topped with sweet and sour radish and carrot kimchi, the sammie was an absolutely delightful lunch.

Bob & Jo’s Spicy Chicken Is Not Hot, But Still Worthwhile

The Bob & Jo Korean Fusion Cuisine truck braved western midtown the other day in the rain, and to show my appreciation for trucks continuing their business in this precarious area, I also braved the rain to check out some of the dishes Donny didn’t get to in his initial visit to Bob & Jo over the summer.
