Cinnamon Snail’s Fall Doughnuts, Available Today in Midtown
Even if you’re not on The Cinnamon Snail‘s vegan bandwagon, it’s very possible you’re on their doughnut bandwagon. And one of their draws are the seasonal updates to their doughnut line (they’re also now selling the Thanksgiving Sandoo, but that’s for another post.) Here’s three of the autumn-inspired flavors that can be found on the truck.
From left and clockwise: cranberry glazed apple cider, traditional apple cider, and pumpkin pie. For those who are fans of apple cider cake doughnuts, it has a good hint of cinnamon, more than ample sugar coating, and is probably one of the best places to pick one up for your afternoon sugar rush. If you’re looking for a bit of tart for your sweet, go with the cranberry glazed version–this was one of the doughnuts served at the Vendy Awards. The pumpkin pie is for you “pumpkin everything!” people–the center dollop is basically spiced pumpkin pie filling with a crunchy dusting of toasted coconut. Other sweet fall treats spotted include a pumpkin doughnut twist/cruller.
They’ll be back in Midtown again today (55th+Broadway) and Friday (Park+47th), though if you’re looking to try them out without an enormous line, I would highly suggest visiting the truck next time they’re on 48th btw 6th+7th.
