Best Midtown Street Meat: 2011 Readers’ Poll

It’s time for the 2011 Midtown Lunch Readers’ Poll. Your nominations are in, and between now and the end of the year we’ll be asking all of you to vote for the best Midtown Lunches in a whole range of categories. You can only vote once per category (so choose wisely), and official results will be posted after the new year.

And with last year’s winner Kwik Meal shedding customers from a recent price hike, it could be anybody’s game this year.  Here are the nominees for best street meat in Midtown:

I am an absolute fan of Chef Amir’s chicken and rice! It comes with a bit of spinach salad, there’s some onion chutney in it – it’s really delicious! Normally, when I get chicken and rice from any other street cart, the spices overwhelm me about halfway through and I can’t finish it, but I will INHALE the Comme Ci Comme Ca chicken and rice.

  • I think you have the Famous Halal and Imposter cart locations wrong. Famous Halal is SE corner of 53rd & 6th and NW corner of 52nd & 6th while Imposter is SW corner of 53rd & 6th, no?
