Piece of Chicken Has Flown the Coop
Sad new from Lunch’er Alvin yesterday: “Piece of Chicken doors closed and kitchen gutted.” Even though Piece of Chicken was slightly out of bounds (and there are plenty of other fried chicken options around 8th Ave.), we always loved its pricing model and considered it an honorary Midtown Lunch. We have no clue what happened, but it will be missed.

Unbeleivable. I was literally on my way there for lunch today. I’m never in that neigborhood, but I needed to be there today. Is Shorty’s still around?

It is sad. They had the best cheap chicken around. You can get $1 chicken at Smilers across the street or at the 40th street Two Brothers; but it’s definitely not as tasty.
