This just in… the 2 Bros. on 46th btw. 5+6th opened last night.  What a better way to kick off Memorial Day Weekend than with a couple slices of $1 pizza- right?

  • STOP! PIZZA TIME!

  • It was good as far as dollar pizza goes. Crispy, with a coating of cheese. Sauce was a little sweet.

All in all, a cheap midtown lunch.

Just ate two slices. not bad. At least I don’t have to go to Port Authority location.

  • I’ve never had any of the dollar slices before so I don’t have much to compare it with except for regularly priced slices. I will say that it might not have been the best slice I have ever had, but I can’t imagine I will ever go anywhere else in midtown for a slice now that it’s here – I can’t imagine spending close to $3 for a slice at places around here with this as a reasonable, inexpensive alternative (and no fabulous pizza to be had).

One of the things I like best about this slice is that when I was there, since it’s lunchtime, the pies are flying out the door, and the pizza was fresh out of the oven. You don’t seem to get that around here, even for a plain slice. I hate it when my pizza has been reheated.

They have fryers in the back, so they’ll probably kick off $1 fried and roast chicken soon like their other locations.

  • I just walked across the street to finally taste what a 1 dollar slice of pizza tastes like. It tastes like plastic cardboard. I’m glad I only wasted a buck.

Seriously, don’t go there. If you want to cheap out on pizza, walk over to Naples 45 after 2pm and the the 1.50 slice. MUCH better and you’ll feel like you ate pizza and not a lunch tray.

  • I think it depends on the dollar slice. 2 Bros isn’t that bad. 99c could be bad.

And Naples 45 is 1.75 (1.91 after taxes) a slice. If I’m hungie, I need more than a slice and 2 slices at 2 Bros. works for me!! Naples is more for after-work snackage! :)

  • does this place take debit cards?

Tucked-away signage spotted inside 2 Bros. today:

    Burger Bros.
    $1.50 burger
    $1.75 cheeseburger
    $2.75 double cheeseburger
    $1.00 fries
$??? milkshake (didn’t remember the price)

    !!!
