Woorijip Reorganizes, Shuts Down Noodle Bar?
Lunch’er Jenn sent in this photo and report about Woorijip (on 32nd btw. B’way+5th) yesterday:
“Notice anything different?? No more Woorijip Gauntlet of Death. The back area where the noodlebar was is now walled up and lined with the hot food units that used to take up the middle section. The beverages that used to be on the right side have also been moved to the fridges across the way. Lots more room to walk now, thank goodness — but, where will the noodles be served?”
Considering what Blondie and Brownie noticed back in November, this isn’t a huge surprise. We’re guessing the noodle bar is gone… UPDATE IN THE COMMENTS: “A couple of my co-workers hit the noodle bar yesterday. Apparently it’s still there but all the way in the back so maybe it was just tough to find.”

The noodle bar was awesome. That was the main reason I ever went there. That’s big loss for me….

The hot food units were so friggin awkwardly placed, esp when you’re in line to pay. Glad they re-arranged.

I have to say– since I went there yesterday and experience this layout– this does make the line a bit of a shit show. I was standing in line as it stretched down past the refrigerator cases, just like it has previously. BUT without the shelves as a divider in the center, people decided that they could make a diagonal line from the hot trays that cut in front of those of us already waiting. Now maybe this was only happening b/c people who eat lunch at 2 are extra hungry/agro, and nobody could deal with things re-arranged, but this can not stand!

A couple of my co-workers hit the noodle bar yesterday. Apparently it’s still there but all the way in the back so maybe it was just tough to find. I’m glad it’s still there b/c I get stuff from the noodle bar more often than the regular food. But that place has the worst layout for any place that does as much business as it does.

How big is this place that you could miss the noodle bar? Luncher “Jenn” needs to pay more attention before reporting bad intel.

@stevenp – In fairness to Jenn, I think a co-worker sent her the photo… she asked where the noodles were- and we’re the ones who just assumed the noodle bar had closed.

Yeah, noodle bar is totally still there, now with even less room for the long line. Also, who knew Woorijip had such nice bathrooms?!
