Midtown PSA: Stay Away from 6th Avenue Today

allstargame

If you were hoping to cross the Avenue of the Americas for lunch purposes today, you may be very disappointed.  The MLB All Star Parade will be shutting down 6th Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, from 40th Street all the way up to 58th Street, and while there will be some cross streets open to pedestrians along the route, I think it’s safe to say you should pretty much steer clear of 6th Avenue during lunch;  unless of course you have an interest in watching grown men in baseball uniforms walk down the street for absolutely no reason (they didn’t even win nothing,) in which case you must be very excited.

  • Hey Zach, here’s the soundbite from 1010 WINS for the TechBytes feature they did on our favorite site.

  • I’m hoping that Mr. Wright notices me in the crowd and realizes I’m the love of his life.

  • Could someone who works on the east side of 6th Ave. throw a Park Gourmet Chicken Parm hero across to me around 1 pm? If you accidentally hit a baseball player, no worries.

  • Blondie, a word of advice be careful around people who wear protective equipment over their genitalia.

I could tell you a story involving a jackhammer, a blowtorch, chain-cutters, sulphoric acid, the jaws of life (talk about a misnomer), a chasity belt and a week of frustration that would make your nape hairs stand at attention. I won’t as it might be deemed offtopic by someone not as broadminded. Alas, I had to let her go unsullied but not for lack of trying.

  • I’ll throw you a Parm from Park but you gotta get me a double with chicken and double pork from gogo as apart of the trade :)
I’ll even throw in a snapple with the Parm.

  • Sulphuric acid? Really? Wow, Bossman, wow.

  • Today is a good day to bring lunch (even if it is a nuked frozen dinner)!

  • @Blondie

Yeah, what can I say? I’m passionate and she was hot,
(moreso afterwards than before but that’s a whole ‘nother story).

  • Walked down to 34th and grabbed a Movie deal combo from Bruce’s. The traffic trying to foolishly cross the city was absolutely hench..

  • Thanks! Really interesting. I wish i could spend my time on writing articles…just have no time for it.
