Jay – I gave up on eating my lunch in the Gallery after one day when THREE homeless people accosted me for money in the space of 15 minutes. Until Security steps up their game I’m taking my food to the Terminal.

Apparently there is a trademark for Xi’an Famous Foods along with the Chinese symbols.

Using a registered trademark in a way that
is “likely to cause confusion, to cause mistake, or to deceive” is a violation of the Lanham Act.

So, maybe lets not let the NY company know…

Those look great, I’ll be in Center City on Friday around lunch and may have to stop in for them…

The minus = starting a new job within the next couple of weeks near Newark Airport. I’ll have to live up there four or five days a week for the next twenty years.

The plus = keeping my current cheap apartment here, as well, and I’ll be home in Philly every weekend, holiday and vacation week. With money to eat out for change, too. Whoo!

Pro Tip(s): The Bourse has great public restrooms. Also, the coldest water fountain in town to fill your canteen from. Both on the lower floor, easily accesible from the 4th Street (rear) entrance.

I have never eaten from any place there, though I will admit to having borrowed a table there in order to enjoy at least one chicken gyro from the halal cart on the NW corner of 4th & Market. Nobody kicked me out, or even noticed. Just like how I’ve been known to take my lamb & rice from the halal cart at 8th & Market down into the Gallery’s food cart in the same manner.

You learn a thing or three being broke, yet still trying to eat sitting down. ;)

When I go to the Bourse (3 times/yr), I check out “Mexico” which is actually Tijuana Taco Too. They make delicious tamales and tortas. They’ve been around for a while and with the Mexican consulate on the 2nd floor, I consider their standards to be pretty high. I might even go as far to say that this is the best Center City Mexican restaurant in the inexpensive category.

I wandered Makkah Market many months ago, and made a note that I had to come back again soon. Never did. Need to get back around to that one of these weekends. The hot food didn’t look too appealing, to be honest, though maybe because I was in around a time between breakfast and lunch? The groceries looked great, though. Also, I now know what frozen lamb brains look like…
