The Palm Tree Market P11 Panini: Artichoke Hearts, Bacon, and Russian Dressing Make Everything Better
A wise gentleman told me about a sandwich he regularly orders after his soccer matches from the Palm Tree Market and I had to try it for myself. The Palm Tree is a deli in Northern Liberties selling everything you might have forgotten to pick up from the grocery store from gourmet cookies and Campbell’s soup. The sandwich counter has a nice variety of classics, but the ingredient list of the suggested P11 made it obvious it was the best choice.
The standard P11 consists of Boar’s Head ham and turkey with mozzarella, bacon, tomatoes, artichoke hearts & Russian dressing on pressed panini bread ($6.30). All of these components happen to be foods I love except for ham. I hate ham. But Palm Tree was happy to swap it out for pastrami, a switch I highly recommend. The panini was not huge, but sized just right to make you satisfied. Palm Tree did a superb job at coming up with the toppings. Artichokes and Russian dressing taste amazing together and stole the show. And though Palm Tree presented me with a neatly packaged panini, it turned into a huge Russian dressing covered mess. A small price to pay for this special panini.
And if you can’t make it up to Northern Liberties or the one at 2nd and Christian, The Insider reports another location is opening next month at 20th and Pine.

wow, that looks awesome. gunna have to consider palm tree for lunch one of these days!
I eat at Palm Tree more than anywhere else. It’s quick, cheap, and they make some seriously decent sandwiches. Also recommend the veggie hoagie with sharp American and pesto, and just about anything else on the menu. P11 is an old standby as well!
