Not such a fan of the pastrami sandwich at Ink Sack. The horse radish completely overwhelms the other flavors. Gimme Plan Check or Langer's over it any day of the week.

Also, just a heads up the Yu Chan link seems to be to Toddrickallen.

I think their non-traditional banh mis are the best. Loved the pork belly, for example.

Been eyeballing this place on my trips to Tsujita and can't wait to try it. But for solid chicken bun with eggrolls you can do far worse than Le Saigon right nearby on Santa Monica Blvd. I wouldn't order anything else there, but the bun is reliably good, especially with plenty of chili sauce.

Also, on a tangential note, I loved the cold cuts and bread on the Spice Table banh mi, but the vegetables needed to be a pickled just a bit more. I like a little more funk.

Sounds awesome. I've never thought of bun as a salad, but I think you're on to something there.

As an aside, the Spice Table has a special bahn mi of sliced turkey, smoked mozzarella, and bacon chutney now. It's pretty incredible.

I lived in Rochester for many years and the Garbage Plate is legend. There is no right or wrong to it as long as it has 2 sides, hot dogs and or hamburgs (the hots of course have to be Zwiegles nothing else will work). Onions, home fries and Nicks chili hot dog sauce. The name actually came from some college kids that helped to create the dish. Oh almost forgot you really need to eat this after midnight after a night out on the town. Tradition.

I just ate from this truck mid Wilshire. Love the idea and looked forward to a fish buddy and chips . The chips were fine and crispy but the fish wasn't cooked enough. It should be white and firm with crispy batter not greyish and transluscent and soft. Crank up the heat on the fryer and it should be fine.

Just closed on a condo in Westwood that's a little less than two miles from Chego. I see many Beefy T bowls followed by Scoops in my lunchtime future, lol.
