Hiya: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/361109
It's a whole big ass list, but the info is there.
-
I gotta tell you-- The whole wheat frozen thin crust from fresh direct is genre destroying
-
i love fresh direct pizza.
I get mine (when home) from Pizza Park (low fat cheese).
John's has it...Angelo's has it...$hit, you can get it anywhere really. -
FD also sells regular pizza dough, which is pretty good.
-
Thanks for all suggestions so far, but nothing on the Chowhound list is in Midtown...any other recommendations are welcome. Thanks again!
-
by the slice? that's tough.
I remember getting a slice from Two Boots once downtown. Perhaps they have it in Grand Central Terminal as well? It was a veggie slice I think ...
-
Two Boots is in GC and their pizza is crappy, buuuuut, they do have a good newman slice and a good white veggie slice, like deanlo said, with tomato, loads of garlic and spinach....I dont think it's whole wheat though...For ww slices..little italy, redstone, best pizza on first amongst pretty much every pizza joint in nyc...PS-dont listen to chowhound.

You can't. Good whole wheat pizza is an oxymoron.
-
what's this place you call, "downtown?"
-
kc, you've never gone downtown? you don't know what you're missing.
-
ha, no im kidding..I actually go down there for dinner quite often..In fact, i tend to only go downtown for dinner.
I live uptown now and i just dont frequent the area as much when i lived in gramercy -
