Who has got the best Hot Dogs ?

The best NYC street Hot Dogs I have ever had were from a vendor on the Vanderbilt side of Grand Central. But this was years ago, and street hot dogs have become the meal of last resort.

However, if the craving ever really hits, it's Grey's Papaya at 72nd & Broadway.

A couple dogs washed down with a large orange drink is ecstasy on the West Side.

Any other good spots out there?

Out of midtown lunch range but a vendor who calls his cart "Fashion Dogs" parked out in front of the FIT campus on 27th and 7th Ave. Less than 2 bucks, and the dirty water dogs are ALWAYS steaming hot.

On the corner of 34th and 6th avenue (South West, near Macys) there is a cart with Home Made Sausages and Hot Dogs- I recommend it. :-)

I usually don't bother with DWD's, but if I were in need of a hot dog...

It's not in midtown, but dogmatic on 16th off of university has the best hotdogs I've had in nyc. I only found this out last week courtesy of Zach.

I haven't been to crif dogs yet though, and I hear they come highly rated, again not in midtown.

  4. I have heard good things about a guy on the corner of 55th and Madison who does grilled hot dogs. Also, I think Carnegie John on 57th and 7th does hot dogs, and nothing that comes off his cart is ever bad.

  5. My vote goes to guy on 55th on Madison.

    Hallo Berlin

Worth the 8 hour flight for them alone.
