Where to buy fresh fish?

I know this isn't really a question about lunching in midtown but I am looking for some help. I work at 37th and Broadway. Is there anywhere in the area where I can buy some fresh fish to cook at home for dinner. I also walk to Port Authority to catch a bus to Jersey. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

right behind the Port on 9th avenue and 40th or so on the west side of the street is Sea Breeze fish market. Good selections and prices.

You guys gotta do something. There's this guy Nasty Nate who's after my cocktail fruit, and everyone here likes fresh fish.

And then the Squirrel Master came out of left field and told me l'm his bitch.

  3. Paul- Thanks for the input.

Steve- I just saw that place, thanks for the confirmation. I'll check it out tonight. Hopefully they have some decent stuff left at 5.

Ha nu reum, on 32nd between 6th and 5th, has sushi grade fish as well, but the westside market may be more convenient to you.

  5. Thanks Goats. I'm going to try Sea Breeze tonight but it's good to know of another place for when I'm going home to Brooklyn.
