If you want it on a Bagel, I would imagine Ess a Bagel on 3rd and 50th is your best bet... especially tuna salad and egg salad.

Although that's more than a 15 minute walk. I would be curious to hear some egg salad sandwich recommendations...

Thanks Zach, Ess-a-bagel was the first place I thought of, and if I worked near there would be there every single week. I'll try to trek over on a quieter day in the office but hopefully there's something closer.

If you walk fast straight down 6th and then Broadway, you could make it to Eisenberg's on 5th at 22nd for tuna or egg salad. (They also have shrimp salad on Friday but I haven't tried it.) This would be the best tuna salad you can find in the area, and might be worth the extra few minutes walk. (Or an easy subway ride to 23rd St.)

Eisenberg's does indeed have delicious egg salad. Also excellent fries and chocolate chip cookies.

Please tell me you're not going to put all 3 on the same bagel.....
-
@Goats: that sounds like a challenge for Zach Brooks!

If I had to, I would, but I dont think it'll be necessary. I just like all 3 and figure any decent bagel place would have them.

@raphael - I don't know. I have no problem eating bagel with egg salad, or a bagel with any combination of tuna salad/whitefish/whitefish salad/sable/lox/nova. But shrimp salad? Doesn't seem right...
-
Yeah, shrimp salad and egg salad together would not be a good taste in my mind, though I admittedly have not tried it (nor would I want to).Tuna and egg salad mixed, fine. some people do that. I can see how that would appeal to some. But the shrimp throws that combo off big time.

I hit ess-a-bagel for a shrimp saled on a bagel sandwich today, 17 minute door to door walk, but well worth it, about $6 and much better than the crap you'd get in any Cafe Duke'esque deli.

Where can I get the best egg, shrimp and tuna salad on a bagel? I'm on 42nd and 6th, willing to walk up to 15 minutes in any direction, there must be a non-generic-deli option out there?
