Tehuitzingo on 10th (47th & 48th) had them bagged in their bodega section when I was there on Monday. Granted, I didn't know how fresh they were, but for $3.50 for a huge bag I don't see how you could go wrong.

I'm desperate for chicharrones. Not the saucy kind at Margon Cafe - which are nice, don't get me wrong - but the kind that are fried so the fat is juicy and drippy, and the skin is yielding and perfect. The kind they give you at Cuban restaurants in Union City with the bread.
Anyone know where I can find some? Cafe Nunez came to mind but I called a while ago, and alas, they don't make 'em.
