Where can I buy a good 6-pack of beer in midtown?

Any of the supermarkets.
Ernest Klein on 55th & 6th is where I go.

Duane Reade on 40th B'Way sells heineken and pislner urquel. Otherwise try the deli on the southwest corner of 38th and 6th ave - they have a pretty good selection.

9th Ave Vintner, make your own mixed 6 pack of fancy beers and get a 10% discount. 46th and 9th

Yanivnord -- OP asked where to find "good" beer. Heineken doesn't make the cut. Pilsner "Urkel" is pretty good though.

Is Pilsner "Urkel" made by the same brewer that makes "Screech" Stout?

From our Forest Hills Key Food, I am able to get Franzenkaner, the KING of wheat beers. Ohh, and always a case of Coors Light cause I likes it.

DDR: I won't tell all the nice people working at the heineken brewery in amsterdam that you said such a thing about their beer.

I second Fressagirl's rec. It's my neighborhood spot for Abita. They've got an amazing selection.

Apikoros: What does that have to do with buying beer in Midtown? (hint: nothing) Gee, I can buy some tasty Duvel or a nice Delirium Tremens at my local supermarket. That info doesn't help the OP at all. (And I will refrain from pointing out the obvious about anyone who actually buys/drinks Coors.)
yanivnord: Heineken hasn't been brewed in Amsterdam for a long time now. (I did tour the brewery there when they were still brewing, but it's been a museum for many years.)
fressagirl: good to know. Might be woth stopping in after a sit-down at Rudy's.

anyone know of a shop/deli/fancy store that sells good, imported beers? i'm on 47th and 6th ave and need to find a six-pack in a pinch.
