I noticed that today as well . A little further down the other stores were also shuttered and there were signs indicating an asbestos problem with those places that were next door Maybe that's the common trait. It will suck if it is shut down for good, I agree

Rickshaw firebombed the place.

They had an asbestos issue which is causing all of the stores on that block to be affected. They wont be back anytime soon.

I had heard a while back that a hotel was planned for the corner where Sbarro used to be, and it looks like Sbarro, Food Merchants, the jewelry store, McDonald's, and maybe Wendy's were all part of the same building.
Maybe the owner of the site is trying to clear everyone out to start on the hotel?

Anyone know what the deal is with the Wendy's on Lexington. I tried going last night and there was a sign on the door saying they're closed. The McDonald's next door was also closed and had a sign saying lease issues was the reason. This is the only Wendy's in the area and it would really suck to lose it as a late night option.
