According to twitter it's cupcake crew, who have been involved in a lot of drama lately.
-
Doesn't it seem like the Schnitz guys are always involved in drama too?
-
That's only because they are the best and these other guys are trying to ride their coat-tails. (And yes, I love the Schnitzel truck so much they can do no wrong in my eyes)
-
The line for Taim is always crazy long. I've been wanting to try them for a while now, but every time the line is at least 25 deep.

Drama Llama to the rescue!

Cupcakes are stupid! F Cupcakes! Anything where the wrapper rips away at the product is not a product I want to pay for!!!!!! I'd rather just buy a cake!!!! Nobody wants cupcakes!!!!! Make them go away Schnitzel!
-
Maybe they are Palestinian cupcakes?
-
@idontknow: If you get to the truck right before 12noon, they line is much shorter and acceptable. However, that quickly changes so try to get out slightly earlier.

@Goats: I'm sorry, you have used your allotment of exclamation points for the day. In the future, please consider the humble period for your punctuation needs.

Sorry, it must have been the magic brownie typing...

I'll get slammed for this but...I think Schnitzel Truck is waaaay over-rated. Original, yes. But it's expensive, the sides are VERY bland, and tho the schnitz itself is fine, I feel like I paid a high price for a nicer container.
@idontknow & @hungry: usually anytime after 1:45 the line is managable too.
-
I won't slam you. I don't think the schnitzel is any big deal either. Everything is too thin to have any real taste. It's overrated and overpriced. Plus, the guys running the truck are constantly smoking everytime I pass by. They step into the driving area to smoke, as if that makes it less disgusting. If I want to indulge in something deep fried, it's going to be NYC Cravings or one of the Korean fried chicken places.

i wont slam you either, Username303. i agree with what you said. its just too expensive for what you get. plus its always at least a 30 min wait it seems, no matter if i walk right up to order or if there are people in front of me. i wouldnt even say that the schnitz is "fine" as you did. last time i got it, it was so tough i had to pick it up with my hand and eat it like it was beef jerky.

At around 11:45 today, I witnessed the Schnitzel Truck and the Cupcake Stop (actually it might have been a different cupcake truck, they're all so similar) were parked literally bumper to bumper on 52 just east of Lex. You wouldn't think this was a problem, since they are not serving the same customer base. But that didn't stop them from arguing. One employee from each truck was standing nose to nose having a very heated and very public "discussion". All the while, both trucks had their shutters down and not serving any customers. Very productive. Meanwhile, half a block east, the Taim Mobile truck had a line that was at least 50 people long (not an exaggeration) and happily serving up their food. Another day in the truck scene.
