Ho Yip's by the lb. buffet is cheaper around that time I believe...

I went to hunt for food last Friday after 2pm, and the Comme Ci Comme Ca was out of the chicken AND rice. Walked over to Pitopia, and they announced that they were closed (probably only a Friday thing). It's hard to say with food trucks, but I was surprised that Pitopia had already cleaned all the food out of their stations by then.

The ownership seems to keep Kosher, so it's likely they wanted to be home by sundown.

Yeah, I realized that pretty quickly...but I didn't see their hours posted anywhere. It was a bit of a shock, considering how badly I wanted a good falafel.

I know a bunch of places that offer half priced coffee at 2 or 3pm, but not food. Most discounts are later..2pm is still early, and some folks are still eating at the time. Most likely places aren't going to offer deals that early.
Thalia Next Door is half priced at 7pm. Lots of takeout sushi joints do half price, like Yummy Sushi is 50% at 7pm. There is a pizza place that has a good deal in midtown at a certain time, but I don't remember which it is.

The Naples 45 takeout counter (inside Metlife building) has a post-2pm pizza deal. Not sure about the numbers but I think one slice is around $1.80... this may not sound like a deal but it is QUALITY pizza and definitely worth it in my opinion. Try the mushroom slice, or pepperoni. You will not be disappointed!
