not this girl. I'll be sleeping until noon and eating leftovers on mom's couch while watching chevy chase movies....alllll day.... ahhhhh, heaven.
-
ill be here...black friday is one of my fav days to work...not a soul in the office...come in 2 hours late...take a 2 hour lunch...and leave 2 hours early!
-
samwich wouldn't the commute be extraordinarily maddening? the trains are crowded enough as it is during rush hour. :( i think it's ridiculous to make anyone outside of retail/hospitality work on black friday
-
hmmm...i take the metro north...and i will def be going in late...never noticed a bad commute before...if anything a very empty commute.
-
I'll be working. Usually not, but the 'rents are out of the country, leaving me with nothing else to do. Hooray, international families! I guess I could treat myself to something nice for lunch. Maybe even take what you people call "a lunch break".

i am not working but will be taking my daughter to my husband's office in downtown brooklyn. Any good lunch place near Metro tech area other than Juniors?
-
i'll be working on leftovers.

Mkim, there is a roti and west Indie-food place down there. I can't find the address right now, but it's right by the old cathedral. Hole in the wall sorta joint. Anyone know the place I'm talking about? I haven't been there in a few years, but the curry was really good.
-
mamacita, someone also mentioned that place but we need a restaurant type of place that has a high chair.
Also, i don't think my 19 month old baby can take curry yet. thanks for the recommendation. -
@sir eats-a-lot - I hear ya. My 'rents moved out of the country a few years ago as well. I'll be lonelier than Kunta Kinte at a Merle Haggard concert on Friday. :(
I'm going to eat my feelings with 2 midtown lunches. Maybe a kati roll from Biryani Cart and galbi from the Korean carts if they bother to show up.

there's also a five guys on montague street. this is actually my favorite of all the new york 5guys locations.
a checkers opened up on court street but i didn't like it much.
and if you care for a walk. about 2 miles away from metrotech is the calexico carne asada brick and mortar...
-
Waterfront Ale house if you have a car or don't mind the walk... very good food, clean, and nice interior.

Who's stuck manning the ship this Friday? More importantly, will there be any good street meat action happening in midtown?
