Apikoros18

Pardon if this has been discussed. I was enjoying the above article at:
http://newyork.grubstreet.com/2009/07/the_burger_register_new_yorks_82_most_notable_burgers.html

Sorry for the long link.

Anyways, Each entry has a link or 2 with other reviews. Number 22, Carnegie Johns, links right back here! :-)

Great Burger Porn in the article, BTW

Anyone ever try the Blue 9 burger listed? It looks pretty close to an In and out. Is it worth the 15 min trip from my office?

No. I was pretty disappointed with Blue 9. It was closer to McDonalds(!) than to Shake Shack or Burger Joint, which are other quality 'smaller' burgers. Haven't had In'n'Out, but from all reports it is a very juicy and tasty burger. Blue 9 was not. (And I even ordered mine 'Medieval style.') meh.

BTW, Molly's didn't even make this list of 82 NYC notable burgers. That is a fail in my book.

A lot of great burgers didn't make the list and a lot of crap burgers did. Veselka's burgers? Barf. Where's Kurve's Wagyu burger?

Despite Steve's comment I decided to stop by blue 9 and thought it pretty good but not as good as this:

I dunno, Blue 9 is comparable to In n Out. In n Out is better than other fast food chains and has great fries, but the burger is not on par with Shake Shack.
