Nope filedit has commented before and the burger is def a steal for $5. I've had it before and it's a good burger.

Ha I actually despise Friday's/Applebees/etc for their outrageous overpricing in Times Square, but I will gladly partake in specials like this one as an opportunity to "get 'em back", so to speak.
-
Hmmm I wonder if the Friday's on Broadway is participating... if so, I wonder if I should 'take one for the team' and go have one...
-
TGI's...ah the Hasselhoff's of food chains....fatty....noisy...and still thinks it's 1994.
-
does the one on 43 btw vanderbilt and madison participate?...that would be great and keep in line with my 2 block lunch radius.
-
Is that one on 50th and 7th ave participating.
-
I'm going to do it! I'll take one for the Downtown team and check it out today.
-
Sorry DLers... the NYC Cravings truck was parked literally almost directly outside my office. I never made it to TGIF to see if it's being offered at this location.

went today to the times square location. the burger was a great deal. the $3.99 cup of lipton's hot tea was not.
-
went today at the Grand Central location. It seemed that they were trying to hide the deal from us. There were no signs anywhere advertising the $5 sandwiches. The menu had no mention of it and there was no insert in the menu. The waiter only told us about the $5 discount of the entrees. We had to ask about it to get him to tell us about the deal.
Other than that the food and the deal were excellent.

same with us. we asked the waiter for the deal.

Until the end of the month, $5 gets you either the Jack Daniels burger or chicken sandwich (both with optional cheese/lettuce/tomato/bacon/onion rings/pickle + fries on the side). Midtown menu price $16.99! I'd say true value is around $8-10, so it's still a great deal. The Times Square location is participating, so I'd imagine all of the rest are as well.
