Sushi Express is fine for that area... although just a warning, there's not really any seating. It's completely takeout. Samwich, you think it's any good?

What's Sushi Joints! I've never heard of that place... is it new?

I literally work across the street so seating is not an issue for me....ive been there a handful of time maybe 3 or 4 as i dont really get satisfaction out of any sushi lunch...but the times that i have had it...its been pretty good...seems to be fresh atleast.

59th between 2nd and 3rd, Katagari (may be spelling wrong), NYs oldest Japanese Grocery--- Exactly like the places on 41st... Super fresh and good

i have to agree that sushi express is just sort of, eh. i was having a sushi craving today and decided to give it a try...very underwhelmed. and it was expensive. for two rolls, i paid $10.38.

i'd recommend east japanese on e. 44th b/twn 2nd & 3rd. really reasonably priced and i find their sushi fresh and good for the price. even better, get umi sushi (118 E 31st St | Btwn Lex & Park Ave) to deliver. it's really tasty and super speedy/efficient delivery.

I forget the name of the place, but there's a really good (and reasonable) sushi place on the walkway between 45th and 46th Streets, just east of where Park Ave hits. (There's a Subway on the 46th St. end of the passageway.) it has seating and does get a bit full around lunch hour because it is worth checking out.
