St. Patty's?

stevenp

Does anyone have any good leads on drinking (and maybe eating) activities this coming week for St P's Day? My boss is way cool, so I can have a whole day or 2 off for drinking, so any tips on morning imbibing events would be cool. Thought I'd ask here before checking out "other sources." I'm thinking green breakfast beer followed by streetmeat would be cool, with more beer for dessert....

I don't see how I could legitimately get off work. I can see this conversation..."Boss can I have off Wednesday?" "Why? So you can go drink?" "I want to go to the parade" "Haha, right! I'll see you at 9 AM sharp.".

^ best Motorino pie I had at the city location so far, Hungie. Looking to try their other pies again sometime.

No more shamrock shakes for anyone? ;P

And how many green beers will everyone else be inhaling?

Who is serving green beer? Anyone have a favorite pub? (I plan to head out early and get a seat!) I'll pass on the official pub crawl- noway I'd pay $$ just to be forced to drink dollar Bud. Rather stay home and drink cold draft Bass or killer bottled Russian beers than have to endure Clydesdale piss.

    good luck with that.

You would not, could not in New York.
You could not, would not, I retort.
You will not find it in a pub.
You will not find it in a club.
You will not find it here or there.
You will not find it anywhere.
We don't do greens in NYC.
We do not like them, stevenp.

Smithwicks is an Irish beer that comes in green cans.

There should be plenty o' Irish pubs and college-frat bars serving it up. Have fun!

Smithwicks (pronounced "Smiddicks") is yummy on tap too. Very smooth/creamy ale.
