Have been to UWS location a bunch and its much better than Maoz. The pita is incredible and the felafel is non-greasy delish. I recommend the eggplant and hard boiled egg w/ hummus and all the fixings. This place will be packed with people

This place opened last week, but was closed Thurs and Fri for a holiday.
I had the falafel last week and the sabich today. I like the taste of their falafel - there are many other places that I don't care for.
The sabich was similar to what Taim serves.
Like most of these places, you can load it with all of the toppings you want.
When I went last week, the toppings bar was full. Today it was missing half of the things they had last week. I typically eat later in the day, so maybe they were out of things.
I found the fries that come with the combo meals to be good as well. The beer battered hagalil fry(ies) look like something right out of a circus carnival - mine was not very crunchy because they wrapped it to go. The sweet potato fries are big, thick, salted, and soft - if you prefer crunchy fries, don't get these.
Some people can't stand mint, but I think that their fresh home-made lemonade that you can get with the combo meal is a winner. It appears that they use pureed mint leaves in it which takes the edge off the lemon.
SoomSoom is almost directly across from YummyYummy and in direct competition. (I just realized that both of these places have similar style names) To me, the falafel at YummyYummy isn't great. However, I did notice that they also have sabich on their menu...I might try it one of these days.
Hey Rachel, how about a real review?

Hey Joer!
Sounds delish -- what I wouldn't do for a sabich right now ...
*ahem* anyway, Anna's planning to check it out since it's in her neck of the woods.
Great tip, thank you!

In the former Kolette's Kitchen space, they are opening a SoomSoom kosher vegetarian bar. There is already one on the West side on 72nd and gets good reviews on Yelp.
Their main food items are Falafel and Sabich. Platters are over the ML limit, but the sandwiches are under.
