Smoking vendors

dbug42

I went to try a new truck today, but when I got there, a guy got off the truck smoking. He was wearing their shirt, so he worked there. I guess it was a cigarette break, but for some reason it grossed me out and I left. Is it just me?

No I think it's gross too.
I'm not going to tell him he can't smoke, but I'm just not going to go there again

    Ditto at first sight.

And smoking and then handling foods is gross. Bad enough I'm eating the unhealthy mess on a plate. No need for the extra carcinogens.

  6. Wicked gross. I bought bananas from a fruit vendor on Broadway and 10th-ish last week. Not only was he smoking, I think he was talking on a cell phone and only had one hand free to pass me the plastic bag to open myself and put them in.

Which truck was it? That is old school greasy spoon diner action!! (probably illegal these days--at least in NY I believe....)

I don't want bad karma, but it was a newer truck that just recently came to midtown

Yeah, I think it's gross too. ALMOST as gross as servers/cooks/dishwashers, who run around a restaurant sporting tattoos.

I cannot tell you how many restaurants that my wife (Doctor E.) and I have WALKED OUT OF because the employees were covered with filthy, disgusting, HEP-C inducing tattoos.

    Carrion, New Yawk City folks.

Hep C inducing Tattoos? I assume this is DC's form of sarcasm....b/c if it's not, I truly pity his ignorance...

Sorry goats, but getting tattoos does significantly increase the risk of contacting hepatitis C. Personally, I would not trust the "hygenic" reliability of a tattoo parlor.

From point naught 1 to point naught 2 percent maybe. Food nor needles scare me all that much.
