Then Ruby Tuesday it is. Thank you all for your really great, just fantastic, suggestions. This is such a helpful community.

glad to help, Sara.
Bon Appetit!

Ahh sarcasm. Don't suggest Times Square unless you actually want these suggestions. If you don't want to walk 5-10 blocks you aren't going to get anything good.

Bubba Gump's is the BEST place in TSq.
LOTS of fun there! Run Forrest Run!!! -
ML Commenter FAIL. the clear choice is Tad's. You can even get a nice glass of wine (covered in plastic wrap for your protection) to accompany your steak lunch.

When I used to work in Times Square, Carmine's and Haru were are default sit-down lunches. Not the greatest food at those places, but you could do worse.
-
Oh yeah, let me not forget CHEVY'S for mexican. ;P

It's a shame Tiny Thai is closed because they had one of the best tamarind ducks I've ever had.
John's Pizzeria is a good choice too.
man everything's so far away...
Yoshinoya?
if i were you, i would just take a brisk walk to cafe zaiya and then come back and eat at my desk.

HAHA. I having cafe zaiya today.
I think you're better off eating street meats than throwing money at the sit-downs in TSq for lunch.
For dinner, I do like Shake Shack on 44/8. Lunch if you don't mind the wait.
There's also Popeye's!

Does anyone have suggestions for lunch spots that have decent seating? Preferrably around Times Square. I am always at a loss for places to meet people on the rare occasion I don't eat at my desk.
