They literally drown their plate in too much white sauce IMO. Use it sparingly unless drowning is requested and back it up with a solid hot sauce, then they might have something fierce going on. Not bad for $5 but too many $5 options these days...

Shendy's is a major part of the halal mafia, harassing other vendors.
Never. No way.

Grabbed the chicken/lamb combo and rice from SMP2 runner-up Shendy's today and noticed a couple of changes: 1) I got a ROUND container (though they still had the rectangular ones on the side), and 2) along with the typical chicken, lamb, rice, salad, and peppers, I got a sliced up piece of pita bread -- I don't remember getting this in the past. Anyway, thought I'd share that.
One other option that people might not realize -- Shendy's offer two different types of rice: 1) standard yellow rice, and 2) white rice with some veggies. Last thing -- these guys are definitely still being overlooked. Can we get them a "Recommended by Midtown Lunch" sticker? Or at least a "Best $5 Combo over Rice" sign? I told them I'd bring a printout of the SMP2 results next time.
