  1. Sam's is up and running-Go visit him, the protests have decreased sales for most of the vendors in the park.

I went down there on Columbus Day for a Sam's falafal....he was there.

  3. Is it better than mamoun's which is downtown in the west village? Definitely sounds likes it's worth a shot.

I think it's better than mamouns, but some disagree...

This just in... people are donating to the vendors, who then make food for the OWS crowds.. sounds like a win.

except last time I was there, before OWS, they seemed to be teaching some new guy and the falafels were burnt! burnt I tells ya! sort of raw on the inside and blackish on the outside. oil must have been too hot..

I was there last week. It was awesome! 6 bucks for a GIANT platter that lasted me multiple meals. I went out and got extra pita there was so much! Go support Sam's!

I also was there last week.. weather was awesome. I too purchased the $6 platter and mentioned that little burnt problem.. so the man says "Iwill give you the less done oens..." about TEN of them... huge!

and while walking I could not wait and slipped one out to make sure it was not burnt.. and it was totally delish. crusty a bit on the outside and the just melting in my mouth falafel goodness.

much better on the rare side. hmmmm I should dream so happily as eating that platter over and over..
