Ay Yi Yi! No me gusta.
Muy Sucia!
I hope Mama wasn't planning on doing a ML HH entry there.

are you ExFlexatarian on chowhound?

Yes, my thread got pulled by the CH mod nazi's.

weird, i just posted and then it disappeared.

I saw your post - yes, comping 100% of the drinks would have made the experience better. I was more miffed at how nonchalant the FOH was about the situation.

CH sucks, very bad modding

Boooooo to roach infested nightcaps!

What the hell is that place? I live a block away and never heard of it? Although at this point, it's just to avoid going there...

@ sir eats - it's a new resto next to the Pod hotel. Owned by Billy Gilroy, who has Employees Only and Macao Trading Co, and the Chef is an A Voce alum.
Given the pedigree of the place, I was pretty upset they didn't do a better job of damage control.
If i'm paying $4 for a beer in an East Village dive, then I can live with a roach. $14 a cocktail however, is a diff story.

This evening, I saw multiple cockroaches at the bar area at East Side Social Club (51st & 3rd). The bartender seemed remarkably nonchalant about it when we complained, and management was willfully ignorant of the problem.
Seems unfair that some earnestly innocent venues (eg. K Pizza Cone) would get DOH'd when there's bigger offenders out there, such as East Side Social Club.
We quickly finished our drinks and buggered out of there ASAP. Definitely would never touch the food there.
