roach in my food

mkim1206

I wanted to try the Szechuan gourmet after hearing good reviwes from here so i took one of my coworkers for lunch and ordered L1 and L28. While my coworker was eating his dish, he suddenly pushed his dish away. then i saw it..there it was..a dead roach swimming in the oil. yikes. I felt so bad cuz i suggested the place to him. They didn't charge for his dish but i'd never go back here again.

I met a friend and his biggest client for drinks at a fancy, old school, restaurant in town. The client was bragging he'd been coming here for over 25 years, how it was the best food , yadda, yadda yadda. I looked over the bar and there was this tiny roach with what looked like 6 inch long antennas crawling all over the cash register behind the bar, I almost spit my drink up laughing as the client went on for another half hour about this place.

Corner Bistro has mice...lots of them. I think Mice are worse than roaches....but that's just me....

It's really the luck of the draw no matter where you go. Every establishment is going to have pests, it's just a matter of how well they hide it. Everyone's just gotta get over it and give it a few weeks or so before going back if ever.

    I agree with BKWRXWgn.

Saw a roach get poured out of a water jug at Esca. It can happen anywhere... but it probably a little more likely at SG. If I thought about it rationally I know I've eaten at literally hundreds of places with roach infestations. Best just not to think about it unless you want to drive yourself crazy. They wont kill you, though I'm sure they would if they had the chance.

I know roaches are everywhere but if they had taken care of their food better(ie storing food in the fridge), I don't think i'd have found it in my food.
And there must be freaking alot of them if it got into my food.
